Canon Digital SLR

One of the first Canon digital slr cameras was released in 2000, the Canon D30. They had earlier been working together with Kodak, the EOS-D2000 and EOS-D6000 which had the internal parts from Kodak in a Canon body.

The Canon EOS (Electro-Optical System) autofocus 35 mm film and digital SLR camera system was introduced in 1987. Also the EF lens-mount was introduced at this time, replacing the old FD lens mount system.

I have been using Canon...

...digital slr cameras for over 5 years and have been very pleased with them.

I bought the Canon 10D when it came out in 2003 and used it until 2007.
At that time I was still using film cameras also.

In the beginning...

...of 2006 I bought the Canon 1D Mark IIn, it's a very fast camera with almost non existent shutter lag and with lots of custom functions. It's working flawlessly, I use it mostly for wildlife but also for weddings and beach photography.

It's a heavy camera, 43.2 oz./1,225g but is well designed, well balanced and extremely sturdy built.

Many of the pictures on this site is taken with Canon gigital SLR cameras and most of them with the Canon 1D mark IIn.
It have been discontinued and replaced by the Canon 1D Mark III. It have been reports that the 1D Mark III:s auto focus performance is mixed, especially for fast moving objects in sunny hot weather and using AI Servo. The picture quality is excellent though if the image is in focus. I have not experienced any auto focus problems with the Mark IIn.
