This doesn't look right

I guess this have happened to you also. You have taken pictures where the color is wrong. It's not looking right at all. They have a color cast that we have to remove. Here is how..

Start up your favorite picture editing...
..program. Open an image that have a color cast.

Open up the image and click on Image and from the menu choose Adjustments and then Levels.

Here I use Adobe Photoshop CS3. Most image editing programs have levels adjustments.

In the levels window double click on the eyedropper tool that is to the far right.

Then click on an area in the image that is supposed to be white. Here I clicked on the white matte around the picture of the bird.Leave the mouse where you clicked and don't touch it for right now.

Look at the RGB values (circled in the picture below) and choose the highest value to type in to the other two boxes. You have to use TAB to get to them and change the values.

After you have done that hit Return (Enter for PC) and then you can click on the mouse and the picture should be color corrected.You can then go to "File" and choose "Save" from the drop down menu.

You can of course continue to do some more photo editing on the image or if you are satisfied with the result you can leave it like it is.
